The Sound of Salzburg Menu: Where Film, Flavor, and Music Meet. Salzburg now offers a new highlight for fans of The Sound of Music: the Sound of Salzburg Menu. It combines a private tour with a fine 3-course lunch – a partnership between weTours and the elegant HYPERION Hotel Salzburg.

This exclusive package blends music, history, and cuisine. It’s much more than a tour or a lunch – it’s an experience for all the senses.

More Than Sightseeing

To celebrate the film’s anniversary, weTours and the HYPERION Hotel Salzburg have created something special. The Sound of Salzburg Menu is only available as part of the Private Sound of Maria Tour.
  • The tour takes you to the movie’s original locations. Live performances bring classic songs like Do-Re-Mi, Edelweiss, and Sixteen Going on Seventeen to life.
  • After (or before) the tour, enjoy a 3-course lunch at HYPERION, once known as Palais Faber. The menu is exclusive and not available anywhere else.

A Culinary Story Inspired by Film

Three gourmet dishes from the Sound of Salzburg Menu, served at the Hyperion Hotel Salzburg.

Executive Chef Michael Daus designed a menu that tells a story. It mixes Alpine roots with Mediterranean and Asian flavors. As a result, every dish feels light, refined, and full of character. Chef Daus, known for his natural and modern cooking, has worked across Europe. Now, his creations shine at one of Salzburg’s most stylish 5-star hotels.

 

The Sound of Salzburg Menu:
  • Do-Re-Mix Aperitif: A sparkling tribute to Uncle Max’s pink lemonade
  • Starter: Beef essence with tartare, porcini, goat cheese & apricot
  • Main: Herb-crusted veal with alpine vegetables & green pappardelle
  • Dessert: Warm apple strudel – the Austrian classic, reimagined

The Sound of Salzburg Menu can be added as an optional upgrade (add-on) during the booking process.
The Private Sound of Maria Tour can be paired with lunch before or after the tour. Online booking includes a 10% discount on the regular tour price.
