Salzburg is preparing for a new cultural and tourism highlight. The Sound of Music Museum Salzburg will open its doors in mid-2026. It will stand on the grounds of Hellbrunn Palace. Just a few steps away, historic buildings — such as the former gamekeeper’s house and the coach house — are undergoing restoration. Soon, they will house the new Sound of Music Museum. Therefore, the exhibition will reflect both the legacy of the film and the true story of the Trapp family.
