In June 2025, the Austrian National Tourist Office invited leading international travel influencers to Austria as part of the Sound of Music Year 2025. Their route included the city of Salzburg, with highlights such as the Gaisberg, as well as a visit to the Salzkammergut Lake District. From the city below to the Alpine foothills and sparkling lakes, everything came together in an unforgettable scene. The next day, the creators joined the Private Sound of Maria Tour with Live Music. Traveling in luxury Mercedes minivans, they visited legendary film locations in and around Salzburg, accompanied by live performances from professional singers Dana Hammett and Dmitry Iogman. Each stop became an emotional highlight that blended culture, history, and music. Influencers had the chance to create unique content during the tour, which they later shared across their channels, including Instagram Reels, YouTube videos, and TikTok clips. As Julia Randall put it: “You visit iconic filming locations in Salzburg accompanied by live performances at all locations. weTours is fantastic.” She later added: “This was truly the most immersive tour we could ask for.”

Salzkammergut Visit with Suzi on the Move

In addition to Salzburg, some creators also explored the nearby Salzkammergut Lake District with weTours. Together with travel blogger Suzanne Olaybal (suzionthemove.com, @suzionthemove), we discovered the beauty of this region on a perfect summer day. Traveling in a Mercedes minivan, the route included the famous Wedding Church in Mondsee, a stop in St. Gilgen, and a scenic boat ride across blue water towards the Falkensteinwand. The calm of the lake, framed by dramatic cliffs, made this moment unforgettable. The highlight of the day was the cable car ride up to the Zwölferhorn, where breathtaking views of mountains and lakes unfolded under clear skies. Suzi, who was joined by her partner, later shared: “This was truly one of my favorite days in Austria. The combination of stunning landscapes and the guide’s local knowledge made it unforgettable.”
