With the revival of The Sound of Music, the Salzburg State Theater celebrates a piece of world history starting November 15, 2025. No other musical is so closely tied to this city. The film classic, shot in 1965 at original locations in Salzburg, made the Trapp family’s story famous around the globe – and still attracts fans today.
