On the Singing Sound of Music Tour, Dmitry Iogman and his musical partner Dana Hammett will sweep you away into the world of the “The Sound of Music”. They’ sing hits like “Edelweiss”, “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and “Do-Re-Mi” at the original filming locations in Salzburg. Both entertainers will incorporate behind-the-scenes anecdotes from the film set, as well as interesting tales about the Trapp family.

Dmitry Iogman was still a schoolboy in America when he chanced upon the film “The Sound of Music” shortly before bedtime one night. He was immediately fascinated by the characters of Maria and the Captain von Trapp. At that time Dmitry Iogman didn’t realize the significance and appeal of this movie. Today he thinks that “The Sound of Music” is not just a love story between two people, it is much more a story about the world’s beauty, as expressed through music.”
One thing that sets Dmitry apart is his wonderful versatility. His extensive repertoire stretches from art songs, to opera and operetta and all the way to Broadway. After his studies at the University of Connecticut, Dmitry Iogman launched an international career. He performed in Europe, Russia, Mexico and the United States. Furthermore Dmitry participated in music festivals, from Aix-en-Provence to the Northern Lights Festival in Minnesota. One of the significant milestones along Dmitry Iogman’s career path was his celebrated appearance with star tenor Placido Domingo during “The Night of Stars” in Tampa, Florida. In addition to his appearances in “Sound of Music” productions all over the world, Dmitry Iogman is also one of the three tenors in the cross-over band “Velvet Rocks”.
Today Dmitry Iogman lives in Salzburg. He loves the breathtaking beauty of Austria’s natural landscape and the high esteem in which the arts and culture are held here.
